It came as a big surprise when, last week, Sandy and Pam e-mailed me:
Mansi,You’ve made it to the front of the line! We’d like to highlight you as WOW Blogger of Note on Monday, June 7. Please let us know if that date works for you. If so, we will get back to you with all the details.
Sandy and Pam.

The bloggers featured on this site represent the best of the blogosphere — these are witty, articulate, storytellers who, through their writing, help us take flight into a world we haven’t explored. Or shine the light on the one we see, but don’t really know.
Sandy and Pam describe it, thus:
Words of Wisdom (WOW) is a place for bloggers (women and men) who enjoy reading and writing great content to find each other.
What exactly is great content?
Great content is blog posts that are thought-provoking and/or insightful. Blog posts that make the reader stop and think and maybe even feel compelled to “join the conversation” by leaving a well thought-out comment. These posts can be serious or humorous. They can be about any topic. But what they have in common is content. Great content.
Many exceptional writers have been featured on their site, so please drop by and explore their work.
Needless to say, for me to be listed as a Blogger of Note is a big honor and I welcome all you new readers to my haven. Before you read my three favorite posts (picking which was by far the hardest thing I’ve had to do since writing my thesis in grad school), I invite you to get to know me a little better.
For those of you who’d rather cut down to the chase, here are my top three:
- I love you, Ma (divided into part 1 and 2)
- True love
- Forgive and forget
Hope you enjoy reading them and you’ll be back.
Best,

Congrats! Having just been BON last Friday, I know exactly how tough it is to write this opener and to choose 3 posts to share. You did a great job with it. Enjoy!
Thanks, Cheryl.
Coming over from WOW to say congrats.
First time to your blog and there’s so much info to take in. I’ll be back.
Thank you, Ms. Blood. I’ll look forward to your future visits
Congratulations!!!
And it’s well-deserved, too.
Thanks, Dave.
Great post about BON. I love the blogs they introduce me too and I’m off to read more of what you have to say. Happy WOW BON day!
Thanks, Jennee. Hope you liked what you saw and will be back.
I was so excited to see you were the featured blogger today! I visited India last year and was so amazed at everything there. I just read your "About me" and am so impressed with your passion. You have inspried me today!
You are too kind, Debbie. Glad that you visited my blog and thanks for your kind words. Which part of India did you visit?
Happy Happy Bon Day! So nice to meet you… I haven’t made it to your recommended posts yet but I’ve already been here for a half an hour! I am thoroughly enjoying your point of view. I will definitely visit again soon!
Thank you so much! I am deeply honored and love the fact that you’re enjoying your stay here. I’ll look forward to your repeat visits
It’s so nice to "meet" you! You seem like a lovely woman and I’m looking forward to getting to know you a bit better.
Thanks for stopping by, Karen. You have a fascinating blog and I look forward to knowing you better, too.
Congratulations on your BON day! I just read the "know me a little better" link, and I look forward to returning for more. I relate to the feelings of someone who connects with writing. I have many interests and capabilities, but nothing gives me more joy than working with words on paper (even when the "paper" is actually a computer screen!).
Doesn’t matter what the medium is, Katie — as long as it allows for creative expression through words
Thank you so much for stopping by. Appreciate your kind words.
Hi Mansi,
You have an impressive blog here! You are clearly very interested in lots of topics, and a wonderful writer. Based on your profile, I would guess you are working for a college or university (or perhaps a consortium or association). I’ve done that for most of my career, and it is so rewarding! Enjoy your BON day, and the new contacts that will come from it!
Wait, I just noticed your Twitter feed, and I recognize your name from CUE! I haven’t posted there much lately, but I’m a long-time member. Cheers!
First off, thank you so much for your kind words, Nancy. You’re right about my interest in a diversity of topics…I have an inquiring mind and there’s so much out there that prompts (and sometimes satiates) my curiosity. I love sharing those experiences, observations, and questions via this platform.
As for CUE, I read every single post but share my two cents only occasionally. These days I’m trying really hard to win the Cele (again). I miss her.
Thanks, again, for stopping by and I look forward to our continued interaction in blogosphere.
So happy to meet you! I’m a former professional journalist, and now teach the biz to high school students. Looking forward to visiting and getting to know you…Congrats on your BON mot!
What a lovely blog you have, Melissa. Thank you so much for stopping by and introducing me to your writing. I look forward to getting to know you better, too.
Congrats..
Keep writing..
Thanks, Arvind.
Dear Mansi:
So so happy for you. Congratulations.
Is the champagne ready to be uncorked.
Wow!!!
Joy always,
Susan
Thanks, my dear Susan. It humbles me. When I started blogging, I knew I’d have one dedicated reader (and critic) in my husband. But over the last couple of months, it’s been a real pleasure to know that other people also think of posts on this blog worth their time. Thank you, again, for your encouragement and support.
happy bonday!
Thank you. Appreciate your stopping by
Good for you, Mansi. Very well-deserved. I read your stuff all the time. Congrats.
Thanks, Ronnie
Hi Mansi! Congratulations on being the BON on WOW! Your blog is beautiful and will try to get back tomorrow to read more. It’s almost 1:00 am, my time, and I’m getting a bit sleepy!
Thank you, Becky! And congratulations to you, too, on your 300th post!! I’m quite a newbie with much to learn compared to you. Hope to see you again on this turf.
Congratulations! Very nice to meet you.
Thanks, Debby. Appreciate your visiting.
