Fear
Of the unknown
The untrodden path
The unscaled heights
The unexplored depths.
…
Fear
Of failure
Shame
Depravity
Discomfort.
…
Fear
Of loneliness
Sickness
Disability
Death.
…
Fear
Of people
Natural calamities
Apocalypses
God.
…
Fear
Of being let down
Forgotten
Shortchanged
Taken for granted.
…
Fear
Of the known
The challenges
The obstacles
The constraints.
…
Fear
Of so many things
In life
That dictates
The paths we choose.
…
What if there was
No fear?
…
What would
You do?
Where would
You go?
How would
You live
A fearless
Life?

I love asking questions to self. And you’ve given me a worthy one, free of cost
Glad to be able to do that, Ashutosh
very nicely written…
Maybe, a Clear Conscience lessens fears
Maybe so, Vikram. Some fears are so deeply entrenched in our psyches that it takes a lot of introspection and self-awareness to overcome them. Thanks for stopping by
How about be befriending fear just like we do for love and awareness and so on. Why single out fear. Without fear there is no growth.
Good point Yogasvy, I agree as you can see below.
Thanks for sharing your viewpoint, Yogasavy, but I don’t know how you could embrace fear and grow…in my three decades of experience, it’s only served to hold me back from doing things I want to.
If I didn’t feel fear, I fear I’d run into traffic without looking right or left, I fear I’d eat molded bread, spoiled leftovers, toxic plants and mushrooms and disregard the 5 seconds rule. I fear I’d have contracted V.D. or Hepatitis B. Without knowing fear, I wouldn’t listen to my intuition, I’d run into danger all the time. I fear I wouldn’t even have common sense, smarts yes, but what is one without the other? If I didn’t have my fear, I fear I’d be gone by now.
Judith, I see what you’re saying, but there is a difference in being reckless and being fearless. Living a fearless life doesn’t mean making unwise, unintelligent choices. It just means analyzing what’s holding you back from doing something and addressing your fears.

Fear motivates & is the single biggest obstacle we all face in our life. To be able to let go of fear is the single greatest thing a person can do for their selves.
I have learned to let go of fear & live in the current moment so my life would be no different.
Hugs,
Bill
Thanks, Bill. It’s hard to let go when one has years and years of training to fear everything different or unknown. It takes time and practice. Hope I can be like you someday soon.
In my short life i have lived, i have not feared but have been constricted by responsibilities and i always imagined, if those responsibilities weren’t there, my life would have been so much different. Just thinking of doing whatever I want, gives me the thrill like none. Nice words Mansi.
Thanks, Rahul. I think a lot of times we self-impose constraints. A simpler life isn’t necessarily easier.
Good thought provoking questions Mansi! Love reading your stuff.
You are too kind, Pat. Thank you!
Hmmm, I would really want to live like that!
So, what’s stopping you?
